Sports Day Report: Celeberating 50th years of Excellence. On August 3, 2024, Don Bosco School marked a significant milesone by celeberating its Sports Day at the ICF Stadium. This year's event was particularly special as it coincided with the school's 50th anniversary, making the occasion even more momentous. The celeberationwas graced by the presence of former principals, who were honoured as chief guests. Their contributions to the school's legacy were acknowledged, adding a toucj of reverence and respect to the festivities. The presence of Rev.Fr.Mudiyappan david SDB, Rev.Fr.Felix Arulappan SDB, Rev.Fr.Maria Louis SDB, the school's correspondent, further elevated the event's significance. The sports Day commenced with a grand march past, showcasing the studnets' discipline and coordination. The march past was a sight to behold, with students marching in unison, displaying the schools' spirti and unity. Various events were meticulously planned to entertain and engage everyone present. The program included Aerobics, Fusion Dance, Mass Drill and Karate demonstrations. Each performance was a testament to the students' hard work and dedication, highlighting their diverse talents and Athletic prowess. One of the highlights of the day was the Olympic Torch relay, carried by the Nine talented studnets, each specilizing in their respective sports. This symbolic gesture underscored the spirit of athleticism and unity that Don Bosco School fosters among its students. In a heartfelt address, the principal expressed his profound gratitude to the entire management teacm, recognizing them as the pillars of the event's success. Special thantks were extended to the house masters and mistresses, the emcees, the event coordinators, and the technical support staff. He also thanked all the teaching and non - teaching staff for their tireless efforts. As a gesture of appreciation, the principal honoured the stadium in-charge with a gift and a heartfelt thank you. On of the most iconic moments of the day was the decleration of Sports Day. As a symbol of peace and celeberation colourful balloons were released into the sky by the studnets. Additionally, Doves were set free by the chief guests, Rev.Fr.Mudiyappan David SDB, Rev.Fr.Fe;lix Arulappan SDB and Rev.Fr.Maria Louis SDB, symbolizing hope and freedom. The event , which began at 01.00pm and concluded by 06.00pm, was a resounding success. It not only celeberated the athletic talents of the studnets but also honored the rich histroy and legacy of Don Bosco School as its steps into its 50th Year. The day's festivities left everyone with cherished memories and a sense of pride in thier school's achievements.
