RULE OF LANGUAGE
English Speaking Policy
At Don Bosco School, English is the medium of communication. All students are expected to speak only in English on campus.
Students found speaking in Tamil will receive a "Tamil Speaking ID Card" and must attend an English Reinforcement Class from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. During this session, they will write and speak 5 sentences in Tamil along with their English translations.
This initiative encourages fluency and confidence in English.
Daily Language Enrichment
At Don Bosco School, we begin each day with a “Sentence of the Day”, presented by our students before the first hour of class. This includes the sentence, its usage, and the meaning of key vocabulary to enhance language skills.
This is followed by the recitation of a Thirukkural, along with its meaning and moral message, to instill values and cultural awareness in our students.
These daily practices aim to build both linguistic proficiency and moral character.
